Primary Care Research Nurse or Clinical Research Practitioner
Great Opportunity for a Qualified Nurse or Clinical Research Practitioner.
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse passionate about making a difference in patient care and looking for a change from the hospital environment. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact delivering research in primary care and wider care settings, while contributing to patient care in a unique and valuable way.
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic nurse with a can‑do attitude to join our dynamic team as a Primary Care Research Nurse, delivering high‑powered research within primary care and wider care settings. Experienced Clinical Research Practitioners are also welcome to apply.
While experience in clinical research and knowledge of the primary care environment is desirable, anyone who can demonstrate that they can apply their clinical experience to promoting and delivering research within the community can apply.
This role involves daily travel across sites in North Central and North East London and includes participant screening, consenting, recruiting and data collection for research studies. Please note this is NOT a remote working role – working from home will not be permitted.
You should be able to work with limited but regular supervision, have excellent communication skills, be friendly, helpful, flexible, confident and willing to take on a challenge, and able to work under pressure while maintaining a pleasant attitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage confidently with a variety of people, including General Practitioners, other medical personnel, and community leaders, to encourage participation in research.
* Conduct participant screening, consenting, recruiting and data collection for research studies across multiple sites.
* Collaborate with researchers, patients, community service teams, GPs, primary care teams, non‑NHS settings (care homes, prisons, dental practices, community settings, hospices, etc.) and NIHR stakeholders.
* Use clinical skills to support the creation of new treatments and contribute to professional development and revalidation portfolio.
* Explore opportunities to develop new skills and potentially transition into a Clinical Research Nurse/CRP role.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse with a passion for research and patient care.
* Experience in clinical research is desirable; knowledge of the primary care environment is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to promote and deliver research within the community.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Comfortable with travel across North Central and North East London sites.
About the Office
Noclor NHS Research Office is part of CNWL's Research and Development department and is affiliated with the NIHR North London Regional Research Delivery Network. The Primary Care team is a small, dynamic team eager to hear from self‑motivated nurses or Clinical Research Practitioners.
Training, support and mentoring will be provided.
