Year 2 Class Teacher
Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026
Location: Bury (M26)
Contract: Part‑time (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) for the full academic year
A welcoming and community‑focused primary school in the M26 area is partnering with Teaching Personnel to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher. This role is part‑time, working Wednesday to Friday, and will run for the entire academic year.
About the Role
We are seeking a confident and nurturing teacher to lead a Year 2 class on a part‑time basis. You will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging, well‑planned lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
- Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assessing pupil progress and contributing to ongoing data and reporting
- Working closely with the KS1 team to ensure continuity across the week
- Supporting pupils with varying needs, including those requiring additional support
- Maintaining strong communication with parents, staff, and the wider school community
The school offers a supportive Senior Leadership Team and a warm, collaborative working environment.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2
- Experience supporting and preparing children for Year 2 SATs
- Is confident planning, delivering, and assessing learning
- Brings energy, creativity, and a nurturing approach to the classroom
- Works effectively as part of a team, particularly in a shared‑class arrangement
- Shows strong organisational and communication skills
- Is committed to high‑quality teaching and positive pupil outcomes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
