As our SEO & GEO Copywriter you will be responsible for transforming the Superdrug.com eCommerce experience by levelling up our site copy. This spans our FAQ, Product, Category, Landing pages as well as re‑invigorating the Superdrug Blog as a space to educate our customers on trends, our range and great beauty tips and advice.

As the SEO & GEO copy expert for the business; share, educate and introduce best practice across internal Online Business and Supplier teams to improve our ranking for searches in SERPs and offsite AI recommendation tools by:
* Leading the SEO strategy for our online business, creating plans with technical teams, .com trading team, buying teams, own brand teams and suppliers.
* Ensuring we have guidelines and roadmaps for improvements; reporting to senior management on progress and highlighting any blockers.
* Owning keyword research, metadata, internal linking frameworks, and measurement.
* Tracking Boots, Amazon, LookFantastic, Sephora, etc.; identify gaps and new keyword/category opportunities.
* Monitoring algorithm updates and SERP changes; recommending mitigations.
* Aligning SEO data with onsite search; influencing taxonomy to reflect how customers search.
* Owning dashboards, weekly KPIs, monthly performance readouts; communicating actions to Trading, Marketing, UX, SLT.
* Acting as internal expert; training teams on SEO best practice; representing SEO in planning and design reviews.
* Creating a culture where the customer is always considered first.
* Monitoring data to deliver new and innovative ways of working to improve service.
* Building and delivering a strategy that listens and exceeds our customers’ expectations.
* Empowering their team to make decisions that delight the customer.
* Continuously adapting the strategy to meet ever‑changing customer demands.
* Reporting on our performance on traditional Search Engines and AI recommendation tools to the business and making actionable plans to optimise.
* Planning, developing and implementing a content calendar for Superdrug’s blog by working with the Insights and Digital Marketing team to identify emerging trends and create content.
* Keeping up to date with external developments and opportunities across SEM.
* Sharing knowledge internally to support the development of Digital Marketing strategy and staying one step ahead of competition.
* Using commercial awareness to identify opportunities and threats in the marketplace, through research and analysis. Considering the impact of Online and Offline.
* Leading and transforming the Marketing team to have a customers‑first mindset for our O+O platform to build customer loyalty.
* Be the voice of customers and orchestrate the organisation to live the brand purpose and inspire a customer‑first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our O+O platform.
Key Responsibilities
* 5+ years SEO in retail/ecommerce; strong technical SEO and content optimisation.
* Deliver with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Product, UX).
* Ideally experienced working in a fast‑paced retail head office.
* Tooling: GSC, GA/Looker, Screaming Frog, SEMrush/Similarweb, schema validators.
* Clear communicator; data‑driven; able to influence and educate stakeholders.
* Strong IT skills – MS Office, Excel.
* Knowledge of Hybris ideal but not essential & Google Analytics.
* Hands‑on, get stuck‑in approach.
* Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload.
* Ability to problem‑solve.
* Authentically build a wide network of trusted working relationships and experts.
