As a global, private equity-backed corporate business, we operate at pace with demanding customers in the construction, healthcare, and education markets. We are seeking a Regional Sales Director / Operations Director to control approximately £80 million P&L across the North-West of England, demonstrating collaborative leadership, strategic awareness, and a balanced sales/operations background.
BASIC SALARY: £110,000 - £130,000 + 30% STIP

JOB DESCRIPTION: Regional Sales & Operations Director
This role involves directing operational and strategic activities within your region, ensuring smooth operations and driving significant growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, implement strategic initiatives, lead process transformations, and exceed customer expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage 4-6 depot locations with an £80 million P&L and £30 million EBITDA, overseeing operational and sales teams.
* Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 7-10 direct and indirect colleagues, focusing on people development and succession planning.
* Execute sales strategies to ensure profitable growth with key clients, including major construction contractors.
* Promote a safety-first culture, driving transformational change emphasizing safety, service, quality, cost, and delivery.
* Operate in a fast-paced environment with high expectations from private equity owners, balancing performance pressures with rewards.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or related business (construction, food, automotive, pharmaceuticals, or similar), preferably within a larger corporation.
* Experience leading and developing teams of 5-10 direct reports and 60+ indirect reports.
* Management style characterized by visibility, approachability, knowledge, and accountability.
* Control of a £20 million+ P&L with a focus on profitable growth.
* Background in both commercial and operational roles, with knowledge of continuous improvement, transformational change, and M&A integration.
