As a key support to the Section Manager, you will oversee daily operations and shift management of the technical cleaning team, working closely with Facilities, Automation, and Operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and care in high-risk, low-usage warehouse areas.
This role requires strict adherence to company policies, including COSHH, Manual Handling, and Health & Safety regulations. You will attend annual training on cleaning machinery and equipment. Your main focus is maintaining a clean, well-presented warehouse, especially in hard-to-reach zones, while ensuring general cleaning and waste management standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate cleaning tasks with the section manager
* Lead and supervise the cleaning team
* Oversee daily cleaning operations
* Monitor team wellbeing and support
* Conduct performance reviews and manage KPIs
* Use software for scheduling and reporting
* Supervise shifts and provide technical support
* Cover the Section Manager when needed
* Ensure staff training and equipment maintenance
* Plan routine and reactive cleaning tasks
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Support project work and maintain standards
* Perform quality checks and manage records
* Assist operationally as required
This is a night shift role, 9:15 pm - 6:15 am, on a 4 on 2 off rota, any 5 out of 7 days.

What we are looking for:
* At least three years' experience managing cleaning and waste in a large facility
* Qualifications in soft services
* Proficiency with modern cleaning machinery
* Experience with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office 365
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of industry standards such as ISSA, CIMS, BICSc, BS EN 13549:2001
* Ability to work under pressure, adaptable, problem-solver, self-motivated
