PR Executive – Volkswagen National Learning Centre
We are looking for an experienced PR Executive to champion the National Learning Centre, raise its profile, and drive engagement in learning. This role reports directly to the Customer Experience and Operations Manager.
About You
* Effective written, editing and verbal communication.
* Minimum two years’ proven experience in PR.
* Extensive copywriting experience.
* Excellent presentation skills and a comfortable public speaker.
* Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
* Proven experience coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns across multiple channels.
* Understanding of how PR can support commercial objectives.
* Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills.
* A creative mind with the ability to find effective solutions.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Experience of creating short‑form social‑media ready articles.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and create regular PR articles that support and amplify the NLC’s vision and mission.
* Generate copy to produce PR articles and assets.
* Promote PR articles through appropriate channels to drive views and engagement.
* Brief internal media team to produce video/photography to support content for PR articles.
* Write and distribute press releases and promotional materials.
* Build relationships with internal stakeholders and network contacts to generate article ideas.
* Conduct interviews where required.
* Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and stakeholders.
* Liaise with brands to ensure consistency in promoting corporate image.
* Support management team with regular internal communications.
* Devise creative public relations content that fits company profile.
* Develop effective PR plans using appropriate tactics.
* Support ideation and implementation of effective PR campaigns.
* Organise and coordinate PR activities.
* Assess opportunities for sponsorships and partnerships and manage those relationships.
* Analyse results of PR campaigns and report on KPIs (e.g., content created, articles delivered, views, engagement).

Salary & Benefits

Working Hours
Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
Place of Work
VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes. Times may also require working from alternative locations such as Calex offices, VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role, including international events.
Pre‑employment Checks
Calex will undertake standard employment checks, including contact of referees, ID, driving licence (if appropriate), right to work in the UK, and a DBS check where relevant.
