How you will build your expertise within Cabrini's Postgraduate Program:
Cabrini Health is offering a 12-month Postgraduate Nurse Program (Emergency) commencing February 2026. The aim of the program is to provide clinicians with the knowledge and skills for advanced clinical practice within Emergency.
Cabrini’s Emergency Department is staffed by specialist emergency physicians and highly skilled nurses 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our Department treats all emergency conditions (except major trauma) including: cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, general and aged care medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, intensive care, obstetrics and paediatrics.

Program Structure:
The Postgraduate Nurse Program (Emergency) is affiliated with Monash University is comprised of two units of study. The course will be delivered via study days and online and will require various competency and assessment tasks to be completed in the clinical workplace.

Students will be enrolling in the Monash Master of Advanced Nursing course and on successful completion of the program, will have gained sufficient credits for award of a Graduate Certificate of Advanced Nursing (Emergency Nursing).

To be eligible for the Cabrini Postgraduate Nursing program you will have:
8. Australian working rights
9. Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
10. Victorian Working with Children Check
11. A Minimum of 2 years nursing experience post registration in an emergency department
12. Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes
13. Excellent customer service focus and communication skills
