About the Role Are you highly organised, detail‑driven, and confident working in a fast‑paced production environment? We’re looking for a proactive Production Scheduler to join our team at our Louth Northfields site on a 6‑month fixed term contract. In this key role, you’ll help keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly and ensure our customers receive the exceptional service DS Smith is known for. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing production schedules, optimising workflow, and working closely with teams across the site to support efficiency, performance, and on‑time delivery. Key Responsibilities: (included but not limited) Health & Safety Uphold HSER standards and comply with all legislative Health & Safety requirements. Operational Planning Create and maintain production plans for the corrugator and conversion areas. Monitor progress and update schedules as operational needs change. Track key planning KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in daily planning meetings. Material Management Monitor paper stocks and manage daily replenishment ordering. Complete month‑end paper reconciliation and investigate usage variances. Stakeholder Management Work with the Internal Sales team to align daily customer requirements with production capability. Collaborate with Operations on initiatives to improve efficiency and performance. Coordinate with Despatch teams to support delivery planning and communicate order status. About You We’re looking for someone with manufacturing experience, strong planning and time-management skills, and the ability to make confident decisions under pressure. With solid commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (ideally in Excel), and a methodical, detail-focused approach, you perform reliably in fast-paced, customer-driven environments Minimum Requirements: GCSE maths or equivalent. Equivalent planning experience would be taken onboard Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment. Strong communication and influencing skills. Time management and planning. Methodological approach. High Attention to detail.
