THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Solicitors and Fee Earners within the child care team. The role involves the efficient production of legal documents including legal forms, correspondence and court paperwork, while ensuring a high level of accuracy at all times. You will be required to manage diaries, assist with general administration and support the smooth progression of child care and family law matters. A strong understanding of court procedures and the child care and family law process is essential. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective day:to:day operation of the department and in supporting the team to deliver an excellent service to clients, working under pressure and to tight deadlines when required.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have previous legal secretarial experience within a child care or family law team, which is essential for this role. You will have excellent document production skills and be confident using Microsoft Word and a case management system, ideally Partner for Windows, with strong formatting and editing abilities. You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy, strong organisational skills and the initiative to learn and work independently. Excellent communication skills are required, as the role involves regular interaction with colleagues, clients and third parties. You should be self:motivated, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities in a busy legal environment.
