Are you an experienced Evaluation Vehicle Technician looking for the next step in your career?
Would you love to play a pivotal role in the team at the newly transformed Ford Transmissions site in Halewood?
Ford is investing £355m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units and Halewood will be the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe, commencing in 2024 with a capacity of 420,000 units.
Salary: £43,912.80
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30 (must be flexible to work shift patterns when required)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
1. Must have completed a relevant apprenticeship to be able to complete the tasks above.
2. General computer literacy using company systems.
3. User knowledge of excel & access database applications.
4. Valid driving license
5. Prior knowledge of transmission function & teardown would be an advantage.
6. Effective communication skills
7. Highly motivated and self-driven with innovation skills.
8. Proven ability to work in a Team.
9. Good understanding of 5 S and workplace organization
10. Willing to learn, adaptable and have a flexible approach towards change.
11. Knowledge of vehicle repairs would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
12. De-energising / Energising Electric cars.
13. Use Diagnostics Equipment
14. Teardown / Rebuild transmissions / Power Units for investigations
15. Fit / Remove transmissions /Power Units into vehicles
16. Carryout In-vehicle evaluation of transmission / Power Units in accordance with the Engineering Test
17. Specifications.
18. Represent the Company on drive appraisal events at Customer locations
