About Us
Electrix has been proudly serving Torbay and South Devon since 1992, working across domestic, commercial, industrial and renewable projects. With continued growth in both our electrical and solar divisions, we are now seeking a Qualifying Supervisor / Electrical Manager to join our team at our Torquay head office.
This key role supports our commitment to delivering safe, compliant, high-quality electrical installations and exceptional service to our customers across the region.
The Role
As our Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Acting as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for both domestic and commercial work
* Reviewing, signing off and submitting electrical certification and EICRs
* Ensuring all electrical works meet BS 7671 and regulatory compliance
* Supporting and mentoring electrical engineers, including site audits and toolbox talks
* Working closely with our Management and Health & Safety teams to maintain high standards
* Supporting stock review and continuous improvement of tools and materials
* Providing technical advice to clients, contractors and construction partners
* Supporting NICEIC assessments and audits
This is a hands‑on role that blends compliance responsibility with leadership, mentoring and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
* Time‑served approved electrician with strong on‑site experience
* Previously held role as NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor (or ability to step into role)
* Excellent working knowledge of BS 7671:2018
* Experience with electrical testing, reporting and certification
* Commercial project experience in sectors such as hospitality, education, retail or housing
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, supportive approach
* Good organisational skills with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Power tools, test equipment, uniform, mobile phone and laptop provided
* Competitive salary depending on experience
