Teaching Assistant- 1:1 Non-Verbal Support

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and understanding Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal pupil who is currently in Year 4. We are delighted to offer this amazing opportunity to an individual who is keen to make a difference to this young person’s educational setting but also adding new skills to their portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include
* Supporting a pupil in Year 4 who in non-verbal on a 1:1 basis
* Liaising with the SENCO, parents and any external agencies working with the child
* Encouraging the child to have positive educational and social interactions which will lead to confidence building
* Assisting the allocated class teacher with lesion delivery
* Work collaboratively with all colleagues to support pupil development
What we are looking for
* Experience in similar roles such as support work with children
* Experience of supporting children with additional needs
* An understanding, patient and child-focused approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Minimum Qualification of GSCE C grade or Equivalent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
