We have a fantastic opportunity for a confident vet to join our skilled and friendly team.

About us:

Broughton Veterinary Group are an RCVS accredited small animal practice that providesfirst opinion veterinary services with visiting specialists providing more advanced procedures alongside our in-house certificate holders. We have two branches in Broughton Astley and Lutterworth and our team of receptionists, nurses and vets work across both branches. We have achieved ISFM Silver Level Status at both branches and take great pride in delivering exceptional care to pets across Leicester and the surrounding areas.

Our Lutterworth branch underwent major expansion and redevelopment in 2023 providing new and state of the art facilities.

The Role:

* Permanent
* Salary - £41,000 - £70,000 depending on experience and post graduate qualifications
* Full-time 40 hrs/week (part-time will be considered for the right applicant)
* 4 x 10-hour days 8.30am-6.30pm
* Approx. 1 in 5 share of Saturday mornings (8.30am-12.30pm) for TOIL
* 20 min consults
* No OOH

You will become an integral part of an established team of vets with varying levels of experience and skill sets, including certificate holders, providing first opinion services to our companion animal clients. The role will involve consulting, operating and contributing to the smooth running of the practice through repeat medication authorisation, result reporting and responding to messages.

Our ideal candidate would be a personable team-player with great time management and communication skills, who enjoys interacting with the public and is passionate and dedicated to the role. We are looking for someone with experience such that they could manage their own list of consults confidently and effectively tackle neuterings, dentals, imaging and other routine operations, delivering excellent client care. Ideally the candidate would have a special interest in soft tissue surgery or internal medicine and would be interested in starting a certificate if not already completed.

Every Wednesday morning we close the surgery for an hour in order to hold practice meetings, team meetings or CPD. The management team are very approachable and always willing to support. The practice encourages professional development such as veterinary certificates or other further learning.

We have 8 vets who are supported by a team of 11 nurses and animal care assistants and 11 receptionists. We have a visiting soft tissue surgeon and certificate holders in cardiology and imaging. We hold summer and Christmas socials as well as impromptu socials throughout the year. We also attend Lutterworth Dog Festival each year and sometimes take part in various charity sports events.

This fantastic role is based in semi- rural Leicestershire, just 20 minutes away from the bustling city where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants and activities.
