Behaviour Support Worker Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Pay: Competitive – £90–£125/day Contract: Full-time / part-time / temporary / term-time – flexible options Start: September 2025 What Makes This Role Unique? Not your typical support role—expect variety and meaningful impact: Support children from EYFS to KS4 across mainstream and specialist settings ️ Staff internal exclusion/“isolation” rooms and manage reintegration back into lessons Use behaviour management & de-escalation—physical intervention via up-to-date Team Teach training may be required Work with pupils who have EHCPs for autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome or SEMH needs Day-to-Day Duties Supervise in-class & 1:1 sessions to help students self-regulate & re-engage Oversee isolation rooms, ensuring fairness, care & routines Help design IEPs and adjust learning materials alongside teachers/SENCOs Build trust with pupils to support emotional well‑being and reduce triggers Monitor behaviour data and share insights at reviews and team meetings ✅ Key Skills & Experience Previous experience with SEMH/SEND children in schools or youth settings Level 2 TA or equivalent professional background Current Team Teach or equivalent physical intervention training Calm under pressure with strong de‑escalation skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Patience, empathy—and a sense of humour to lighten tough days All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
