As a Cloud FinOps Manager, you will coordinate initiatives to achieve cloud cost optimisation and promote a “FinOps Ready” approach to cloud service deployment, working with product owners, platforms, and the business as appropriate.
Day-to-day Accountabilities:
* Cloud account administration: Manage and administer cloud-based financial accounts, monitor usage, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
* Financial reconciliation: Reconcile cloud provider invoices and charges to ensure accurate billing and financial reporting.
* Cost optimisation: Identify opportunities to reduce expenses, optimise usage, and negotiate contracts with cloud providers.
* Vendor Support: Liaise with cloud providers and vendors, negotiate contracts, resolve billing disputes, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
* Reporting and analysis: Create financial reports and analyze data to provide insights into cloud usage, costs, and performance.
* Security and compliance: Ensure cloud usage and financial practices comply with security and regulatory standards.
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, based at any of our main UK sites with flexible working options.
Essential experience for the Cloud FinOps Manager:
* Experience leading FinOps projects and initiatives
* Setting up Cloud FinOps operations and governance
* Understanding of IT recharge models
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
* Knowledge of cloud cost optimisation, billing, and metering
* Knowledge of cloud contracting, licensing, strategies, Dev-Sec-Ops, and cloud operations
