We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our multidisciplinary design and development team. This is a hands-on role working in a creative, fast-paced R&D environment rather than a production setting. You will support the design, development, testing, and modification of electronic systems across multiple projects.
Our client is looking for someone that is skilled at under-the-microscope soldering and they need someone who can do the board build/rework/repair of PCBs with tiny components.
This role suits someone who is practical, adaptable, and collaborative, with a passion for building, modifying, and testing electronic prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work in a design and development (R&D) environment, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and project teams.
2. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, responding to varied requests throughout the day.
3. Interpret high-level briefs and proactively seek additional technical information where required.
4. Hand assemble, populate, modify, and rework PCBs, including fine-pitch surface-mount components and BGA packages.
5. Perform manual PCB modifications, including circuit changes, cut-and-strap rework, and construction of prototype circuits.
