Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant across the Fern Academy Trust. However, in the first instance you would be based at Wellington Primary School. Wellington Primary is a small, vibrant school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with children and being part of a supportive school community.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have appropriate qualifications, including good GCSE passes or equivalent in Math and English
2. Be flexible and resilient
3. Be able to work as part of a team and under the direction of the class teacher, Head of School and Headteacher.
4. Have good inter-personal skills, communication skills and the ability to relate well with our children, staff and parents
5. Be able to use their initiative
6. Have the ability to work with children of all abilities including SEN
7. Be first aid trained or have willingness to undertake first aid training
8. Be committed to helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
9. Provide targeted support in class to individuals and small groups
10. Supervise children during lunchtimes, ensuring pupils are safe, happy and engaged
11. Supervise and assist our after-school club team to deliver a fun, activity-focussed provision
