Radiotherapy Team Leader (Band 7)

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Therapeutic Radiographers to join our friendly and dynamic team at the Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre.
Your main task will be as team manager on a treatment machine, however, you will also be involved in staff training and departmental development working in conjunction with the Advanced Practitioners and Principal radiographers. You will be a very experienced HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer with excellent communication and leadership skills, including relevant experience of managing workload and staff on a Linear Accelerator, and equipped with the clinical knowledge of current developments to take a key role in the advancement of radiotherapy services at Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre.
Main duties of the job
* Manage a team of staff and provide leadership and guidance to the team and act as a Clinical Radiographer Specialist, working closely with the band 8 Principal Radiographers.
* Coordinate the clinical workload of the Treatment Unit.
* Contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9000 quality system for the department.
* Lead in the clinical research, audit and development of techniques and equipment.
* Ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during simulation and treatment.
* Be pro‑active in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and treatment techniques.
* Work closely with the Principal Radiographers, doctors, physicists and other members of the team as appropriate.
* Participate in the staff training and education programme, including training junior medical staff.
* Lead in training student radiographers and trainee assistant practitioners.

Training + Qualifications
* HCPC registration
* Leadership/management courses/qualification
Experience
* NHS experienced clinical radiographer with minimum 4 years post qualification experience
* Team leader experience
* Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
* Evidence of working as part of a Multi Disciplinary team
