Psychology Graduate – Behaviour Support Assistant Durham £83–£95 per day Full-time | Ongoing Interested in behaviour, mental health, and making a difference where it matters most? A secondary school in Durham is looking for a Psychology graduate to support pupils with SEMH needs. These are bright young people who sometimes need a little extra help navigating school life. You’ll work closely with pastoral staff, supporting students both in and out of the classroom. The role includes: • One-to-one mentoring • Supporting emotional regulation • Helping students re-engage with learning • Acting as a calm, consistent adult presence This is ideal experience if you’re exploring careers in youth work, counselling, educational psychology, or teaching. You’ll need resilience, empathy, and the ability to build trust. In return, you’ll gain insight that no textbook can teach.
