We are looking to recruit a Water Quality Assistant with a friendly and positive “can do” attitude to join our expanding team. You will perform work of a routine non‑complex nature and be responsible for flushing all hot and cold water outlets within NHS and Trust owned or run properties in the surrounding area.
You will be working in a team that prides itself on their standards of work while carrying out varied works with an emphasis on quality finish to meet our customer’s high expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled PPMs related to water system assets.
* Communicate with work colleagues and managers throughout the Trust regarding work to be carried out.
* Actively participate in the operation of the Maintenance Management System and receive training with fast response.
* Perform routine nature work, minor repairs and planned maintenance activities directed by management.
* Flush hot and cold water outlets and take water samples for legionella testing as directed by legislation and management.
* Work as part of a team.
* Ensure compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures, taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and protect equipment.
* Coordinate day‑to‑day flushing of all hot and cold water outlets in accordance with statutory and legislative regulations.
* Assist qualified craftspersons on repair work, PPM work and installation.
* Use all relevant tools and equipment and manage work on site in accordance with occupational policies and guidelines.
Professional Requirements
* Basic knowledge of water quality testing and legionella sampling procedures.
* Ability to operate routine maintenance tools and equipment.
* Team‑oriented with strong communication skills.
* Commitment to safety and compliance with Trust policies.
