Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Job Overview
We’re looking for a versatile, hands-on tradesperson skilled across mechanical fitting, welding, pipe fitting, and metal fabrication. You’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and fabricating equipment within industrial and combustion environments.
What You’ll Do
Mechanical Fitting
* Install, service, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
* Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
* Align, fit, and assemble components using hand and power tools.
* Perform preventive maintenance and system servicing.
Welding
* Carry out MIG, TIG, and stick welding (coded welding preferred).
* Fabricate and join metal components to specification.
* Interpret welding symbols and drawings, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
* Install, maintain, and repair piping systems.
* Work from piping diagrams and isometric drawings.
* Cut, thread, and bend pipes; install valves and fittings.
* Conduct pressure and leak tests (Gas Safe qualification preferred).
Fabrication
* Produce metal structures and components from raw materials.
* Measure, cut, and assemble materials to precise tolerances.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
What You’ll Bring
* 3 - 5 years’ experience in industrial or commercial settings.
* Completed apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience (mechanical, welding, pipe fitting, or fabrication).
* Coded welding certification.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Forklift and first aid certifications (advantageous).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
* Cross-trained in multiple disciplines (advantageous).
* Sound knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
* Self-motivated, safety-focused, and quality-driven.
Working Conditions
* May require shift work, overtime, and travel to job sites.
* Must be comfortable working in varied conditions (heat, noise, confined spaces).
* Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
