Feast Productions produces large-scale food and music festivals celebrating independent restaurants, producers, and live entertainment. Our events take place across Bristol and other UK cities and include Feast On Food Festival, Feast Live, and the South Glos Food & Drink Festival.
We are looking for a highly organised Event Assistant to support the delivery of our events programme. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in event production, marketing, and operations within a fast‑growing festival business.
Role Overview
The Event Assistant will support the team across a range of administrative, operational, and marketing tasks in the lead-up to and during our events.
You will play a key role in ensuring that information is well organised, suppliers and traders are coordinated effectively, and that the operational delivery of each event runs smoothly. This includes liaising with vendors and attendees, managing schedules, and providing a high level of customer service throughout the event lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Organisation
* General administrative support across the Feast On events programme
* Managing company and event mailboxes
* Responding to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Sending out staff briefings and operational information
Event Preparation
* Sourcing equipment and purchasing event kit and supplies
* Assisting with trader and supplier management
* Liaising with vendors and supporting scheduling requirements
* Producing event signage and simple artwork where required
Marketing & Communications
* Assisting with general event communications and information updates
On‑Site Event Support
* Assisting the team during event build, live days, and breakdown
* Supporting traders, suppliers, and staff during event operations
* Acting as a point of contact for vendors and attendees on‑site
* Responding quickly and effectively to on‑site needs and issues
* Helping ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of festival sites
On‑Site Event Dates
The successful candidate will be expected to be available for the following key event periods:
* Feast On Food festival (Cardiff): 25 May–3 June
* Feast On Food Festival (Bristol): 17–28 July
* Feast Live: 30 July–5 August
Ideal Candidate
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
* Proactive and able to respond quickly to changing situations
* Interest in festivals, food events, or live entertainment
* Experience with social media and basic design tools is beneficial
* Willing to work flexible hours during event periods
This is a part‑time position, typically three days per week during office periods, with attendance required on all on‑site event dates listed above.
The role has strong potential to develop into a permanent full‑time position as our events programme continues to grow.
