Staff Nurse Band 5
Secondment /Fixed term position (1 year)
22.5 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team providing specialist palliative care within Macmillan Day Services Unit at Roxburghe House, Royal Victoria Hospital. Macmillan Day Care Unit is a purpose built unit offering day services to patients with complex palliative care needs. They will closely work with the Macmillan Day Services Charge Nurse and Team Manager and with the in-patient unit at Roxburghe House.
In order to fully integrate into the team the post holder will be required to participate in clinical supervision, reflective practice and to promote patient centred care. Excellent communication skills and evidence of relevant personal development are essential. The post would offer opportunities for continued professional development.
