Description


We are looking for a Race Team Composite Technician to join our world-class Formula One team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and repairing all trackside composite components ensuring peak performance and flawless execution at every event.


Key Responsibilities

* Build, maintain, and repair all composite components trackside in line with engineering specifications, ensuring high-quality structural integrity and presentation.
* Support race and test operations, including pit stops, equipment maintenance, and issue reporting to ensure performance reliability and compliance with safety standards.
* Maintain all trackside composite components to the highest standards, ensuring all tasks are completed within the required timeframes.
* Develop and implement solutions for composite issues trackside, utilising the available resources.
* Produce and maintain accurate shortages lists, communicating these to the race team parts and lifing co-ordinator at each event.
* Effectively communicate with factory composites build and design teams as required.
* Ensure that the correct parts are fitted in line with the associated allocations and specification documentation.
* Maintain the confidentiality of all team-related materials, including cars, parts, documentation, and procedures.
* Actively participate in Pit stops as allocated, ensuring all training and procedural requirements are met.
* Assist in garage set-up and pack-down as required.
* To work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Proven experience working with composites in a high-performance motorsport environment, ideally within Formula One or a similar setting.
* Strong working knowledge of composite components, including materials, properties, and applications, alongside in-depth understanding of laminating, bonding, and assembly of composite materials.
* Solid knowledge of allocations, engineering drawings, and schedules, with the ability to interpret and follow them accurately.
* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
* Self-driven with the ability to motivate others and thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
* Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused while working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and achieving targets.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside excellent organisational abilities.
* Creative and flexible approach to problem-solving, with the ability to tackle challenges using scientific and analytical methods.
* Focused on delivering results with the confidence to make decisions in a high-stakes environment.
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to collaborate effectively within a team, even in a dynamic and demanding environment.
* Flexibility to travel as required to support race team operations and willingness to adjust working hours as needed to meet the demands of the role.
* Clear understanding of and commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workplace.
