Pay
Pharmacy Technician rate of pay starts from £13.38 per hour; this increases to £14.59 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
It is policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), opportunities are available and we would love to hear from you.
Schedule & Flexibility
The available times shown are the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you will have 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. We support flexibility; if your available times closely match but are not exact, we still encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the management of a modern Pharmacy
* Applying technical skills to accurately dispense medication
* Dispensing medicines with attention to detail and accuracy
* Speaking with customers in a confident, friendly and professional manner
* Providing information on common ailments, symptoms and products
* Understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products and services
* Advising on available Pharmacy services
* Supporting dispensing processes according to Standard Operating Procedures
* Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions
* Handling clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners
* Responding to customer queries related to prescription medicines
* Maintaining dispensary routines and cleanliness
* Ensuring timely and accurate prescription administration
* Supporting promotional activities and company initiatives
* Carrying out procedures to protect profit and ensure safe and legal trading
* Supporting the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with supervision and coaching
* Maintaining a personal development record with the GPhC and completing training
* Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments; maintaining annual GPhC registration
Qualifications
You will need:
* A pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician
* Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician
* Proof of completing annual Continuing Professional Development requirements
