Why This Role?
This is a high-impact opportunity for a confident and capable Engineering Lead to take ownership of technical governance, automation, and infrastructure delivery within a secure, mission-critical environment. You'll be the senior technical authority on-site, overseeing a 20-person team and ensuring best practices in automation, CI/CD, and documentation are upheld.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading engineering governance and process compliance across infrastructure and automation.
* Conducting code reviews and overseeing CI/CD pipeline performance and deployments.
* Creating and maintaining high- and low-level technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs).
* Acting as the key technical liaison with the customer, ensuring quality and consistency in delivery.
* Driving automation-first practices across the team using tools like Python, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash.
What You'll Bring
* Strong infrastructure background (Windows and/or Linux).
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline management and automation tooling.
* Proven ability to produce and govern technical documentation and architectural designs.
* Experience in systems or network architecture, ideally within MSPs, telecoms, or defence.
* A confident, visible presence with the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
