Location: Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey
Pay Rate: £ per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm)
About the Role
Staffline is recruiting on behalf of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for a Handyperson to support maintenance work across COT (Change of Tenancy) properties in the West Belfast area. This is a varied, hands-on role involving a wide range of general maintenance and outdoor duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out general maintenance across residential properties
2. Cut grass and maintain outdoor areas
3. Power wash surfaces
4. Undertake flagging and small concrete repairs
5. Install and repair fencing
6. Carry out painting duties
7. Clean and maintain gutters
8. Clear drains and ensure proper drainage
9. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
10. Use tools and equipment safely and in line with health & safety regulations
Candidate Requirements
11. 1-5 years' relevant experience (preferred)
12. Full valid driving licence (essential)
13. Good level of physical fitness
14. Reliable with strong timekeeping
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. Awareness of health & safety practices
17. Basic IT skills desirable

18. Access NI Check: Basic clearance required
19. Holiday Entitlement: 23 days plus 12 public holidays (pro rata)
