SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Nuneaton, CV10
Weekly Pay: £460 - £500
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: Trial days available within 2 weeks
Are you a patient and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant who thrives on helping children succeed?
Long Term Futures is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Nuneaton, working across Reception and Year 2.
This role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, helping them work towards their EHCP targets while promoting independence, confidence, and positive social development. The school is looking for someone who can bring creativity, empathy, and resilience to the role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to pupils in Reception and Year 2 with SEN.
Implement personalised strategies to help children achieve EHCP targets.
Deliver interventions in phonics, literacy, and numeracy where needed.
Support pupils' communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
Adapt activities and resources to suit a variety of learning needs.
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent progress.What We're Looking For
Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
Strong understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
Confidence working with children with a range of SEN needs.
Knowledge of EHCPs and experience supporting targets is desirable.
