Helping the wider Marketplace run smoothly will mean this is a hands-on team that takes pride in quality, housekeeping, and communication while working within a fast-paced environment.

About the role:

As a Marketplace Assistant, you will be supporting the multiple departments on a daily basis with various tasks including maintaining a high standard across stock movement and quality, housekeeping and day-to-day problem solving. This role is ‘ad hoc’ by nature - meaning priorities can change quickly, so you’ll need to be organised, proactive and comfortable working across different areas while maintaining consistency. This role may also require occasional work at our main site in Overland Park, located in Gildersome, Morley.

Getting started...

* Showing safe practice in daily activities.

Establishing your impact:
* Work independently while maintaining high consistent standards.
* Be confident in identifying recurring issues and risks - and reporting them properly.
* Contribute ideas that improve flow, safety, organisation and efficiency.
* Build a strong work ethic, showing pride in your work.
* Gain experience with using our systems, including scanning or stock movement processes.
* Learn what must be recorded and reported, and who to escalate to.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:
* Housekeeping and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) across working areas.
* Keeping walkways, aisles and fire routes clear, making sure to maintain and tidy areas.
* Moving stock safely and accurately to the correct locations, documenting where applicable.
* Following proper PPE requirements and safe working practices at all times.
* Support inbound and outbound activity through checks and safe handling.
* Completing shift handovers and all communication clearly.
* Escalate hazards immediately.
* Communicating clearly with team members and department leads when priorities change.
Key goals and objectives:
* Maintaining a safe work environment through strong housekeeping and hazard awareness.
* Supporting consistent stock flow across the Marketplace departments efficiently, safely and accurately.
* Maintaining a reliable and professional service for our colleagues and customers, especially during busy periods.
* Preventing damage, loss, misplacement and unsafe handling.
* Represent VCC values through professional teamwork and conduct.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential skills and experience:
* A strong work ethic and pride in following through on tasks.
* Reliable, punctual, with a team-first attitude.
* Comfortable working within a fast-paced team environment with changing priorities.
* Great communication skills, clear, calm, professional.
* Safety-focused mindset and attention to detail.
* Physically capable of general warehouse duties, including safe manual handling practices with handling up to 30kg - with training and support.
* Competent to work independently, building trust within the teams.

Desirable skills and nice to haves:
* Previous experience working within similar ‘ad hoc’ roles within warehouse and logistic areas.
* Familiarity with strong housekeeping standards.
* Experience with continuous improvement standards.

Vintage Cash Cow and Arcavindi, exist to create a world where everything has value and nothing is wasted, on a global scale.

Together, we form the UK and European operations of the Vintage Group, united by one purpose, one mission, and one set of values.

Vintage Cash Cow is our UK operation and the foundation of our business. It’s where our model was built, tested, and proven, making it easy for customers to sell multiple pre-loved valuables in one simple, trusted journey. Arcavindi is our European operation. Built on the same proven model, it takes what works in the UK and adapts it for new markets across Europe, allowing us to scale our impact internationally.

While our brands reflect different markets, we are one business, working as one team. Our people collaborate across borders, share ownership of outcomes, and bring the same care, fairness, and common sense to everything we do.

Behind the scenes, we are building the world’s largest international trading platform for pre-loved items, powered by expert people, smart data, and a shared belief in the circular economy.

Every item we buy is rehomed, reused, or responsibly recycled — keeping valuable materials in play and out of landfill, and ensuring we always treat customers and their treasures with care and respect.
