Overview
We are working with a highly reputable and well-established construction and development business, part of a major UK group, known for delivering high-quality residential and regeneration projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or entry-level candidate looking to build a long-term career within Quantity Surveying, with full support, training and clear progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with subcontractor procurement and tender processes
* Preparing and reviewing scopes of work and trade packages
* Supporting with cost reporting and financial tracking
* Assisting with subcontractor payments and variations
* Attending site meetings and supporting project delivery
* Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
* Supporting with final accounts and commercial documentation
Ideal Candidate
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Economics, Maths, Project Management or similar
* Strong interest in pursuing a career in Quantity Surveying
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Commercially aware with good numerical abilityStrong communication skills and willingness to learn
* Motivated, proactive and able to work in a team environment
Desirable
* Any construction, site or commercial experience (placement, internship or part-time)
* Understanding of construction processes or cost management
