Job Description
A successful Regional Sales / Area Sales Engineer will:Develop and manage sales across a broad customer base including OEMs, System Integrators, Distributors, and Machine Builders.Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships within key industries such as logistics, automotive, and food manufacturing.Provide technical support and consultative sales expertise to customers, ensuring solutions are tailored to their operational needs.Achieve and exceed regional sales targets through a mix of new business development and account management.Work closely with internal teams to deliver customer projects from concept to completion.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Regional Sales Manager/ Area Sales Manager should have:Proven track record in sales within automation, engineering, or related industrial sectors - training given - this is a commercial solution sales roleStrong understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing and account growth.Comfortable selling to multiple customer types (OE, SI, distributors, machine builders).Self-motivated, commercially aware, and able to manage your own territory.Based in the North East with knowledge of the local customer landscape (Sunderland, Teesside, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Newcastle and surrounding areas).
