Job Purpose
We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy People Team, providing a proactive and professional generalist HR service with a strong focus on Employee Relations.
Working closely with HR Business Partners, Shared Services, and L&D, you'll support managers across the full employee lifecycle, offering pragmatic advice, coaching, and guidance to ensure consistent, compliant, and people‑focused outcomes.
This is a varied role where you'll be instrumental in driving a positive colleague experience, supporting organisational initiatives, and embedding a customer‑first approach across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across a range of people matters
* Support and manage a wide range of Employee Relations casework, ensuring alignment with employment law, policies, and best practice
* Coach and support managers on people‑related issues, promoting fair and consistent decision‑making
* Assist with end‑to‑end employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, induction, flexible working, and family leave
* Support delivery of HR projects and organisational development initiatives
* Deliver or support training sessions related to people management and HR best practice
* Contribute to HR reporting and data analysis to support business decision‑making
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance
* Support continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and procedures
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience working within a generalist HR role
* Strong Employee Relations experience, with confidence managing complex casework
* Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Proactive, organised, and customer‑focused in your approach
Desirable
* CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
* Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Coaching or mediation experience
