We are a team of cyber risk professionals working within the wider Deloitte Technology and Transformation practice, helping our clients to manage cyber risk securely through conducting capability assessments, leading transformation programmes, defining operating models, and documenting future state capabilities with associated roadmaps to achieve the desired state.
We are seeking skilled and experienced cyber risk professionals to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a background cyber and specific experience defining operating models and implementation roadmaps, as well as an extensive network of cyber professionals across financial services organisations, and experience with commercial proposals. Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility will differ based on the focus of a specific client engagement, but your role is likely to include:
Developing client relationships and networking, including both building on existing relationships and developing new relationships within or outside of client engagements
Performing domain level baseline exercises (e.g. gap assessments / maturity assessments) to surface gaps and issues
Designing delivery roadmaps and project plans for improvement programmes, with associated initiatives and governance
Defining target state at a security domain level (e.g. SOC, IAM, DevSecOps etc) to set out an ambitious yet pragmatic and achievable set of capabilities
Supporting clients to implement operating models (covering people, process and technology), leveraging your industry experience to develop pragmatic and workable solutions
Delivering projects in complex and time-pressured circumstances, adhering to standard project management approaches
Connect to your skills and professional experience
Successful applicants typically have a degree or equivalent experience, with real world experience working in cyber security. They are agile thinkers capable of helping stakeholders manage a range of security challenges.
Key skills:
Knowledge of operating model and roadmap approaches and experience defining and delivering this type of work across a variety of scenarios
Long standing cyber and financial services industry experience with a solid knowledge of cyber across financial services and network of relationships across clients
Commercial capability to develop proposals, produce cost estimates, propose compelling commercial offers and present well to clients
Solid capability to produce client friendly materials, presenting complex ideas simply and professionally across a range of artefacts from proposals to solution documentation
Strong project management skills and experience, particularly the ability to drive activity in complex environments and under time pressure
Building strong client relationships, in particularly within engagement delivery, and the ability to grow and build client relationships outside of delivery. Ability to understand client problems and issues and develop a proposal for how we can support
Experience having delivered cyber operating model projects at a range of clients, or deeper experience at a client or FS sub-sector
Qualifications:
Cyber certifications, such as cloud service provide certificates (AWS, Azure or Google), and other relevant certifications (UK CSC, CIISec, SABSA, TOGAF, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, etc) are preferable.
Certifications in project management or related domains (e.g. PRINCE2, ITIL, COBIT5).

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
