IPS Employment Specialist: Mental Health

Full‑Time: 37.5 Hours per week – Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £31,049 per annum
Location Coverage
This is a hybrid role; a minimum of 65% of the time will be spent in the community meeting clients and employers. Work from Home is an option for completing administrative tasks.
Location: REST, Thetford / Gateway House, Wymondham
About the Role
As an IPS Employment Specialist you will help people with mental health needs find meaningful employment. You will work with a variety of clients, receiving excellent training and support to develop your skills within Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and motivate individuals with mental health conditions to access and sustain paid employment.
* Meet regularly with clients to listen, offer support and help them identify jobs that match their skills and aspirations.
* Assist clients with CV production, interview techniques and managing their health at work.
* Advocate for clients by educating and engaging employers about the IPS service.
* Sourcing job opportunities through regular contact with local employers.
* Promote employment and raise expectations around the ability of service users to access paid work, breaking down barriers.
What We’re Looking For
* Supportive, empathetic with strong communication and listening skills.
* Proactive in building relationships with clients and engaging employers via phone or face‑to‑face.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
* Experiences in at least one of the following areas: coaching, mentoring, recruitment, training, human resources, pastoral support, management, mental health, education, or sales.
