ITS Property Maintenance are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Electrician to work on a long-term social housing maintenance contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs, fault finding, and EICR testing in tenanted and void domestic properties across SL and some RG postcodes.
**You must a full UK driving licence as a company vehicle will be supplied for this role**

Key elements of the role and your responsibilities

You will be working in an area left and right of the M3/M4 corridor in SL Postcodes
*
Here you will be focused on day to day occupied repairs and maintenance of social housing properties for a large Housing Association
*
For this role you should be able to demonstrate a core skilled trade of Electrical Maintenance and the ability to undertake a range Electrical duties including:
*
Electrical fault diagnosis and repair
*
Carrying out EICRs and issuing reports
*
Rewiring, fuse board changes, and remedial works
*
Smoke alarm and extractor fan installations
*
Ensuring compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
*
Maintaining accurate records and certificates
*
Providing excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders
*
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including BS 7671 and internal policies, while ensuring appropriate PPE and tools are used at all times
*
Carry out safe and compliant electrical repairs and installations, prioritizing first-time fixes and high standards of workmanship
*
Diagnose and rectify faults across domestic electrical systems, including full and partial rewires, in accordance with company and industry standards
*
Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues to keep all parties informed of job progress and outcomes. Escalate complex issues when needed for further assessment
*
Support the planned works team by completing full electrical upgrades in kitchens, bathrooms, or entire properties—both occupied and void
What you need to bring to the role as the successful applicant to the role
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds 2365/2357)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Testing & Inspection
Full UK driving licence
Experience working in social housing or domestic maintenance
Own tools (specialist equipment will be provided)
Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota, attending urgent callouts as required
Additional information once role goes permanent
Up to £42,000 DOE

ITS Property Maintenance are acting as an employment business on the temp nature of this role. If successful you will be engaged via ITS Property Maintenance on a PAYE Basis with holiday pay on a PAYE rate of £20.50 per hour + Holiday pay. With a higher rate paid if you are CIS registered potentially up to £26 per hour depending on your social housing experience.
