Vacancy: Waste Supervisor
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: £15.35 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30

Role Overview:
Line management of the waste and escort team to ensure an exceptional level of service and performance to meet client KPls
What you'll do:
1. Collection of all waste sacks, segregated and stored securely in waste partners containers.
2. Collection of bulk cardboard.
3. Liaise with the Senior Sub-Contractor coordinator and manage waste processes.
4. Become familiar with Core Contract activities and complete effectively.
5. Ensure all waste is stored appropriately, and the compound is kept in a clean and tidy state.
6. Ensure paperwork, certification and records are in accordance with local and regulatory practices
7. Interface with customers to answer questions or resolve issues
8. Support and engage in the regular audit programme
9. Provide an exceptional level of service and performance to meet client KPls
10. Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
11. Source, develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
12. Agree staff objectives and training, carry out performance reviews in line with EMCORs procedures.
13. Ensure that your technical training and development is kept up to date
14. Ensure that good housekeeping and working practices are employed and ensure that you represent EMCOR in a professional manner at all times.
15. Ability to be able to cover the Waste Operative Role at POW for Holiday and absence cover.
16. Attend monthly client waste meetings and provide stats and figures for the monthly report.
About the role
Who you'll be:
17. Must be able to gain and maintain SC clearance
18. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and circular economy
19. Computer literate and knowledge of core suite of MS software
20. Adaptable and flexible approach and able to cope under pressure
21. Articulate and able to communicate with colleagues and customer at all levels
22. Good level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills and the ability to work as a team Hold a full UK drivers' license and able to drive company vehicles
23. Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
24. Strong organisational and time management skills
25. Environmental I waste qualification
