We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Assistant to join our growing Marketing Team, based in the A&O Shearman Belfast office.
The Senior Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Pitch (PST) team and global BD team’s providing day-to-day support for all pitch related activities.
This role is a fixed-term contract until the end of April 2026.
What you will do
The role will require someone who is highly organised, efficient and keen to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The job will include, but not be limited to:
1. Proposal materials - producing first draft proposal, pitch presentations and credential statements, in line with A&O quality standards. Ensuring all proposal information is uploaded to the central CRM system in a timely manner.
2. Data management - capturing and maintaining all relevant matter information from fee earners in the relevant practice groups, publishing marketing descriptions and ensuring all CVs are up to date and accurate.
3. Marketing collateral - working with relevant BD manager(s) to update credential documents with significant deals/experience, awards, personnel etc.
4. In conjunction with the Pitch Support Team, maintaining a library of pitch tools and guides.
5. Assist with opportunity capture, reporting and maintenance pitch content when required.
6. Supporting the Marketing and Business Development function with other pitch outputs as required.
What you will have
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
8. High attention to detail as well as excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
9. Ability to work well as part of a team, multi task (especially urgent requests) and work well under pressure (while adhering to deadlines)
10. Well organised, flexible and proactive nature
11. Strong time management skills
12. Sense of responsibility, accuracy and confidentiality
13. A hunger to learn and take on all tasks that will aid in the learning including keeping up to date with legal and commercial developments relevant to the product areas and sectors

15. Sophisticated communication skills and interpersonal skills
16. Experience of working in a similar role in a professional services environment is desirable but not essential.
