Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Water)
We are recruiting multiple Senior Electrical Design Engineers (Water) for major frameworks across the UK, including a £100 million framework with United Utilities to improve river health in Northwest England. RPS has over 20 years of collaboration with United Utilities and is engaged in innovative water projects. This role involves driving program optimization, developing solutions, and delivering high-quality water services, with a focus on sustainability and resilience.
About The Team:
Our Water Consulting team provides Asset Management and Operational Strategy services, working on challenging and innovative projects across the UK water industry, supporting long-term frameworks and career development.
About You:
You will handle technical project delivery, monitor budgets, meet deadlines, and ensure quality. Join us to make a meaningful impact on communities and work with leading water companies.
Your Responsibilities:
* Ensure projects meet technical, legislative, safety, and environmental standards.
* Develop innovative technical solutions based on client needs.
* Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate work.
* Build relationships with clients and partners.
* Support design and advisory services for water and wastewater assets.
* Produce detailed electrical designs, reports, and drawings.
* Lead multi-disciplinary projects using digital design techniques.
* Mentor and develop team members.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience in process plant systems within the water sector.
* Hands-on experience in water/wastewater projects.
* Proficiency in digital design.
* Leadership skills within technical teams.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
* Chartered status or working towards it.
* Membership with professional institutions like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM.
