About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and inspirational Clinical Director to join our Executive Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). You’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across all Gordon Moody’s clinical services, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care that meets CQC standards. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of therapists, clinical staff, and lived experience practitioners, helping shape the future of gambling harm treatment and driving clinical excellence across our residential and online services.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction and clinical leadership across all treatment services.
* Ensure services meet CQC standards and maintain outstanding clinical governance.
* Lead, supervise and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, compassionate treatment.
* Oversee clinical data, outcomes and performance reporting to demonstrate impact.
* Build strong partnerships with commissioners, the NHS, Gambling-Harms Clinics, and other key stakeholders.
* Promote learning, development, and well-being across all clinical teams.
* Contribute to organisational strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About You
You’ll be a confident, compassionate leader with a background in psychological therapies and experience in managing complex clinical services. You'll combine strong clinical expertise with the ability to inspire teams and deliver measurable impact.
* Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a mental health profession.
* Professional registration (e.g. HCPC).
* Significant experience in specialist psychological assessments and interventions.
* Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
* Skilled in CBT or other evidence-based approaches.
* Experience in addiction or gambling harm treatment services.
* Knowledge of specialised therapies in addictions and mental health legislation.
