Job overview
The Undergraduate Medical Education Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital seeks to appoint 1 Surgical Education Fellow for 12 months, with potential extension. This role supports clinicians committed to education and offers a nationally recognized qualification. Join a team of five clinical fellows in medical and surgical specialties.
Applications are open to candidates across all levels, from Foundation Year 2 to Higher Specialist Training or equivalent.
This is an excellent opportunity to engage in teaching medical students from Nottingham and Sheffield Universities, with protected study time for a Medical Education qualification, covering various teaching modalities.
Clinical skills will be maintained through 1 day of clinical work weekly in a surgical specialty with a designated supervisor. Specialty will be confirmed upon appointment.

Person specification
Qualifications and Training
* MBChB or equivalent
* GMC registration with license to practice
* MRCS
* Postgraduate qualifications in medical education
Experience
* At least 2 years post-grad clinical experience
* Experience teaching medical students
* Minimum 12 months NHS experience
* Experience in surgical specialty post Foundation
* Research or peer-reviewed publications
