We are currently recruiting for an External Reporting and Compliance Lead to join our Finance team.
The External Reporting and Compliance Lead role is a key member of the Finance Team within City Building. Working alongside the Head of Finance (External Reporting and Compliance), you will be part of an integrated and professional team, delivering the highest level of financial management consistent with the business objectives. You will be responsible for the delivery of External Reporting and Compliance for Finance to the Extended Management Team and operational managers within City Building, deputising for the Head of Finance (External Reporting and Compliance) as required.
This team is key for the delivery of external reporting and compliance including the preparation of the annual accounts, completion of statutory returns, VAT and other tax accounting, treasury and audit. The role combines financial expertise with a deep understanding of the organisation’s objectives to influence decision-making and deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis.
The candidate will hold membership of a CCAB professional body, CIMA or overseas equivalent. Have expert specialist knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and experience of working in a finance function within a large, highly complex business environment.
A key part of this role will be to bring influence on business decisions to ensure immediate and longer-term financial implications, opportunities and risks are fully considered; and promote and deliver good financial management so that public money is safeguarded at all times and used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively.
You will be required to have a flexible approach to this role. Your contracted hours of work will be 35 hours per week to be worked to suit the needs of the business.
