Role Description: Specialized Support: Provide targeted assistance to students with challenging behavior and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a primary and secondary SEND school setting. Behavior Management: Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors effectively, fostering a conducive learning environment for all students. Individualized Assistance: Offer tailored support to students with ASD, ensuring their unique needs are addressed and they can fully engage with the curriculum. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement personalized support plans for students, promoting their academic and social development. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with challenging behavior and ASD is essential. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training in SEN support. Location: Located within a dedicated SEND primary and secondary school environment, providing a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for both students and staff.
