Please note that the hourly rate for this position is £12.65. The advertised salary of £24, is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week). As this role is part-time, the actual salary will be adjusted proportionally according to the number of hours worked term time.
Overview
We are seeking a Cleaner to join our team at Ysgol Gymraeg School, Primary School, contributing to the upkeep of a clean, safe, and hygienic learning environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the health and wellbeing of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
2. Ensure hygiene in areas used by children, including regular disinfection of surfaces.
3. Safely operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning products.
4. Follow safeguarding procedures while working in a school setting.
5. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.

6. Is motivated and takes pride in maintaining a clean environment.
7. Has a flexible and positive attitude.
8. Communicates effectively and works well independently or as part of a team.
Experience and Training
Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential. Applications from candidates with little or no experience are welcomed. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Additional Information
9. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
10. Health and Safety training will be provided.
11. Welsh language support is available for candidates who do not meet the required standard.
