About Our Client

Job Description
3. Own the full finance function end‑to‑end, including accounting, compliance, reporting and financial control.
4. Lead month‑end close, management accounts production and all reconciliations.
5. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet, keeping the business audit‑ready.
6. Drive budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting cycles, building models that inform strategy and performance.
7. Partner with teams across Operations, Sales, Marketing and Production to optimise margins, ROI and cost centres.
8. Manage VAT, Corporation Tax and statutory returns, working with external advisers where required.
9. Translate complex or messy data into actionable insight, including pricing, promotions and unit economics.
10. Champion automation, better tools and smarter financial processes to improve efficiency.
11. Oversee cashflow, liquidity and working capital, anticipating funding needs and managing FX exposure.
12. Line‑manage and develop a Finance Officer, fostering capability and ownership within the function.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
13. A recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical grounding and the confidence to independently own a full finance function.
14. Someone with sharp commercial instinct who can turn raw or messy data into meaningful, actionable insight.
15. Advanced Excel/Sheets capability, able to build reliable and explainable financial models.
16. A clear, influential communicator who can partner with non‑finance teams and tell the story behind the numbers.
17. A proactive self‑starter with an ownership mindset - practical, solutions‑focused and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
18. Ideally experienced in FMCG, consumer goods or scale‑up environments, with exposure to inventory flows, VAT complexities and multi‑channel sales.
19. Ambitious, detail‑driven and hungry to make an impact, aligning with a culture that values speed, autonomy and continuous improvement.
20. Will be willing to go into the office 5 days a week
