Full-time: 40 hours per week
Fixed-term: from 1st September 2025 to 31st August 2028

The University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Population Health Sciences at the Usher Institute invites applications for a Clinical Research Fellowship to conduct independent research and pursue a PhD.
The Opportunity:
This fully funded 3-year position provides a pathway to a PhD, focusing on complex linked data handling, geospatial analysis, and qualitative interviewing in cancer prevention, contributing to national bowel cancer screening efforts.
The candidate will engage with a network of cancer researchers, publish in high-impact journals, present at international conferences, and collaborate with UK and Scottish health authorities to improve screening programs.

Your skills and attributes for success:
* A medical degree with full GMC registration.
* Research experience sufficient to undertake a PhD (e.g., master’s or equivalent).
