The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 3 Higher Clerical Officer (permanent) within NHS Lanarkshire Health Improvement Department. The role will provide administrative and clerical support to the Lanarkshire Weight Management Service and the Locality Health Improvement Team (Cambuslang/Rutherglen, East Kilbride). The post will be equally split between both teams, be based in Beckford Street, Hamilton, and will also require regular weekly work within Cambuslang/Rutherglen to accommodate the needs of the locality team.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day maintenance of departmental requirements to ensure smooth running of the department.
* Dealing with enquiries, face-to-face or by telephone, from the general public, patients and external agencies.
* Implementing and maintaining diary management and appointment systems.
* Resolving disputed appointment times, offering new appointments and rearranging existing appointments.
Qualifications
* Experience in an administrative and clerical role.
* Educated to Higher Grade level.
* Ability to supervise staff.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
