Position: Production Area Manager (Sub Assembly)
Location: Dungannon
Reporting to: Operations Director
Hours of Work: 39hrs 45 mins per week
What you will do
You will play a pivotal role within the Operations management team, overseeing
all operational activities within a designated sub‑assembly area, ensuring products are assembled safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The role involves managing people, processes, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Ensure full Health, Safety and Environmental compliance throughout the company
2. Institutionalise and lead best business practices through lean manufacturing thinking and The Terex Way
3. Demonstrate good leadership skills to manage the Group Leaders, Production Supervisors, Managers and Team Members in process adherence.
4. Performance Management of all Team Members in your area of responsibility
5. Control and manage day to day production flow to deliver on time through level pull
6. Control production costs and spend to within budget and assist in setting department budgets
7. Manage the delivery of customer ready quality to both internal and external customers with zero defects
8. Be responsible for maintaining and improving the existing lean manufacturing production process
9. Implement and coach Terex Business System initiatives and tools in all areas
10. Manage and control SWIP in all areas
11. Manage and control inventory through constant cycle checking and reporting
12. Ensure the maintenance of engineering items, equipment and machinery using TPM
13. Results focused with the energy, drive and commitment to make it happen.
14. A practical understanding of lean manufacturing with ability to coach and practice Flow, Level Pull, TAKT adherence, JIT, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement techniques, Visual Management and Synchronous Material Flow systems (PFEP, Kanban).
15. Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to accept and fulfil any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.

17. People management/supervisory experience is essential
18. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
19. Flexibility and ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities
20. Knowledge of inventory control, lean manufacturing, takt time and continuous improvement
21. Ability to learn quickly, use your initiative and work as part of a team
22. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is essential for success in this role
23. A logical and methodical approach to problem solving along with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner to meet targets
24. Ability to govern progress to a detailed level and interpret system reports to bring about change as necessary
25. Self-motivation and initiative
26. IT literacy and experience of MRP style system
27. Ideally you should have previous production supervision experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
28. Applicants should demonstrate previous manufacturing engineering and/or manufacturing systems experience.
29. A practical understanding of lean manufacturing is also required.
30. You will be expected to promote Business Process Excellence, Efficiency and Continuous Improvement and encourage a "One Team" mindset.
