BCT is a well-established creative industry training provider with more than twenty years’ experience in delivering and supporting education and work opportunities. Our mission statement is to Develop Talent, Transform Lives, Create Careers.
BCT runs vocational study programmes, apprenticeships, traineeships and adult learning courses, also operating Creative Works and Big Creative Independent School.
We welcome industry professionals who wish to enter teaching, via the fully funded Taking Teaching Further scheme’s qualification. This includes 6 months of reduced timetable for training with full pay and lesson cover.
Essential Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
* A formal teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or leadership or coaching qualification (e.g., CMI/ILM Level 3 or 5
* A proven track record in leadership and management, with practical experience in these roles.
* Experience of delivering leadership and management training, preferably within an apprenticeship or vocational education setting.
* Strong coaching with the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate others to achieve their potential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both apprentices and employers.
* A sound understanding of apprenticeship standards, frameworks, and assessment practices.
* Ability to manage a caseload of apprentices and track their development in a structured and efficient manner.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver training sessions effectively.
* A passion for developing the next generation of leaders and managers.

* Ensure apprentices get the most out of the training, complete on time and receive good developmental feedback throughout.
* To keep accurate records of learner progress
* To help differentiate and personalise the programme to each learner where applicable
* To help plan, implement and deliver learning activities and practical exercises for learners
* To ensure learners are ready for End Point Assessment when they reach the Gateway of their programme
* A passion and keen interest in Leadership Theory
* At least two years commercial management experience within any industry area
* Good experience in supporting learners with written and verbal developmental feedback
* Familiar with and sees the importance of emotional intelligence theory and practice in the workplace
* Experience working with management or in a diverse, inclusive environment.
* Knowledge of leadership and management principles in a range of industries.
* Ability to integrate technology into the delivery of training and support
* Experience and knowledge of HR and CIPD
* Sees the importance of emotional intelligence
Salary and Days of Work
* This will be a freelance role on a one-year contract 50-60 days of viable work, on average 3-5 days per month
* Pro rata of 25 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays
* This is a fixed-term part-time position until January 2027
* Start Date ASAP
* Salary day rate of £250
