We are looking for a Shop Manager for a Preloved Womenswear Clothing business. Established two years ago in Rye and recently opened in Tunbridge Wells. The ideal candidate must be able to travel to both Rye and Tunbridge Wells. We are looking to grow the business significantly in the next 5 years and need support to do so.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of a retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson with proven sales record and be able to share their best practices in order to engage customers. This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store. The candidate must be committed to working weekends and bank holidays, on a rota system, as required. Both our stores are open 7 days a week, 363 days a year.
Responsibilities & Skills
* Manage daily operations of the business across two locations, Tunbridge Wells & Rye, ensuring sales goals are met
* Have a very good fashion knowledge (High Street to Designer) and be confident and engaging about fashion in general
* The ideal candidiate will be competent working in both locations on an agreed rota system as well as adhoc visits and staff training days
* Direct employees in daily operations such as serving customers, inventory taking, reconciling cash and managing in store marketing
* Assigns duties to relevant employees
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and cleaning requirements
* Track and manage inventory at store
* Visual Merchandising experience
* Show an ongoing commitment to excellent customer experience
* Social Media knowledge is required and good IT competency including spreadsheets and data handling
Qualifications
* 3 - 5 years of retail and retail management experience with demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson
* Strong customer service, management and communication skills
