Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners.
* Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with school policies.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour for learning.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities and departmental development.
* Provide pastoral support and build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
* Prepare students confidently for GCSE examinations and coursework requirements.
* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a successful department.
